In a glance...

This last year has been a great one, but one without blogging for me. I chose to try and focus my efforts else where. Here are some pictures of this past year, starting in May:

Memorial Day was spent with Gma Babe and Gpa Art up in Henefer and Coalville. The pictures of the houses are of the house that gma and gpa grew up in! We also made a quick stop at the orem cemetery too. It was a wonderful day full of information and history that was so amazing to hear!

BearLake! It's not summer without our annual bearlake trip!
(We also went to Lake powell in May, but those pictures are stuck on our broken computer)
Random Summer Pics
4th of July, neighbor kids, cousins, time in the mountains, horseback riding at the Buttars ranch, vacation at midway with Wirths, Wirth girls trip, boating, fun trip to Denver to visit some of our favorite friends, and don't forget Scouting!
Camping and Hunting
We are not wirths if we don't camp and hunt every year!

First days of School!
That is right, I have 3 in school! What a year!
Birthdays!
Joshua 1, Zack 6!
Halloween this year was extra special, we had a fun party put on by Heather, with a little help from Alli, Mom and me. Jake and Jenni were there too, I didn't get a picture of them or Alli and Chris. It was a dress up party and almost all (alli and chris) dressed up!

Disneyland!!!
Sara, Laura and I went to Ariel's Grotto for lunch! You get to meet Ariel and then 4 princesses come around to your table to talk to the princesses and take pictures, it was so exciting. Sara really loved this, and was so funny to watch, I don't think she touched a thing on her plate! Too much excitement to eat!

We met so many of the Characters, which really added to the whole experience! The boys and Sara really enjoyed their Jedi experience! And although they didn't want to volunteer to fight Darth Vader or Darth Mall, they loved watching it!

Just a few extra pics from Disneyland "the happiest place on earth"....that is when you don't have kids crying to go back to the hotel to swim or for Matt and I fighting the crowds:) It was all decorated for Christmas, it was absolutely beautiful!
Maybe once I get the pics off our other computer I might add them for the sake of recording the whole year! Stay tuned for our December post for the rest of this year!

birthday girl

It has been almost a month now since our little Sara had a birthday! It was a wonderful 7th birthday, even though we didn't have a big party with friends. Thanks to some advice from a friend, we do parties with friends every other year. We decide to go to Jump On It for her birthday as a family, and she got to invite one friend....who she decided should be her cousin Keira. She didn't want all her other friends to feel bad that she could only pick one of them so she opted for a cousin. Which I loved and encouraged as soon as she suggested it! Her favorite gifts this year had to be her Web kinz', and her flowers from Daddy. This picture is of her favorite thing to do in the whole wide world right now....holding her baby brother. Sometimes she is a help in the baby department but most of the time I'm happy to have her at school during the day and home in the evening.

We couldn't love her more and are so happy to have her to ourselves!

flight of the stomach flu

It’s become an annual thing for Matt to go goose hunting the first week in January. Oh how he loves this! It’s a good thing he does too, otherwise he be in big trouble. I would have to say that I deserve mom of the year for enduring the week without him. You see our children got the stomach flu the day that he left and the boys both threw up in the car that first day he was gone. (yes I said car!) It kind of set the precedence for the week to come. But we all survived and Matt had a wonderful week of hunting. Here are some great pictures of the good part of the week!
And if you are asking yourself what do they do with the birds, they give most of them away to locals and this year we are going to try cooking some....the heart that is. Let me know if any of you want to try some! We have had the jerky and it is really good!

sledding

It's has become a favorite of ours to go sledding every winter at least once if not more! I think matt secretly wishes we were skiing as a family, and honestly so do I, but due to the economy and our growing family, sledding fits our budget a little bit better. This time baby J and I stayed home while matt and the kids met up with his parents.

christmas

For Christmas this year we spent Christmas eve with Matt’s family and enjoyed the annual crab and prime rib fest! It was delicious! Christmas morning was mostly spent at our house playing with our gifts, with the big gift this year being the wii. Finally Matt took a shower so we could head down to the grandparents to exchanged more gifts. Each year gets better and better with kids and the excitement of santa coming! Here are some favorite pics of Christmas:Here are some random pictures taken during christmas day of each of the kidsJust seeing those faces puts a smile on my face, we had a wonderful christmas and hope that all of you did too.

new years resolution

This year I have 1 new years resolution

be the best I can be

I just want to focus on being the best mom, wife, sister, daughter, and friend. I hope to concentrate more on the little things this year and not worry so much about things that don't matter.

However with that being said I do hope to blog better this year than I did last. My sister Heather just printed part of her blog into a book, and it has inspired me to be a better blogger/journalist for our family. I even got a wonderful new camera (a surprise from matt) that should help me out this year! it looks like this:
I have quite a few pictures to post of christmas and recent events so stay tuned!
